Iranian security door structure and components

A security door consists of two main parts: frame and leaf. Each of these two parts also has different components. Keep on reading to learn more about these components.

The frame

The frame is the most important of the security door components, which makes it durable and sturdy. In the Iranian market, the thickness of the frame metal sheet starts from 0.7 mm. In the Agnis Factory, the minimum thickness of the sheet can be increased to 1 mm in the economy model and up to 1.5 mm in all types of Luxury, Modern and Lobby doors.
The width of the Iranian security door frame is 14, 16 or 18 cm. However, Agnis security door factory has the ability to make doors with a frame width of 12 to 30 cm. Also, each security door, depending on the model and weight, has 4 or 5 hinges that are welded to the frame and the hinge stile. A seal is installed on all frames to keep air, dust and noise out.

 

The leaf

This part is the main and movable part of the door that is connected to the frame through a hinge. The leaf has the following components:

Rails and stiles

These make the main chassis of the leaf, on which all the components of the internal structure of the leaf are installed. Rails and stiles consist of horizontal and vertical steal hollow square sections. Agnis Iranian security rails and stiles sheets are from 1 to 1.5 mm thick.

Bracing System

A number of steel hollow square sections are welded to the rails and stiles vertically and horizontally. These sections are of the same material and thickness as the rails and stiles. The combination of these boxes is called Bracing System.

 

Steel Sheet

Almost somewhere in the middle of the coil, a steel sheet is placed all over.

Lock casing

The casing of the lock, or the lock guard, is a housing made of steel that protects the security door lock from impact.

Insulation

We fill the empty space between the metal sheet and the panel of the security door with rock wool or plastofoam (Styrofoam) insulation. Insulation makes the security door block sound and heat.

 

Panel

The Iranian security door panel is made and installed according to the customer’s request. There is a wide variety of panels. Some types of these panels are as follows:

• Panel with natural wood veneer

Many modern and luxury Iranian security doors are made by this panel types. The panel consists of an MDF sheet with a diameter of eight mms and a veneer of natural beech, oak or walnut wood. Walnut veneer is the most expensive veneer and beech veneer is the cheapest wood veneer.

PVC panel

We use this to make economy doors. The panel is made of a PVC veneer over raw MDF.

Laminex panel

We also use this to make economical and cheap doors.

ThermoWood panel

This is used for modern security doors and doors that will be used in humid or sunny regions.

Painting

The Iranian security door is painted in two different stages. In the first stage, professionals paint the metal structure of the frame and the leaf. After welding and connecting the metal parts of the door, they send them to the oven and paint them there with electrostatic coloring powder. In the second stage, the wooden components of the security door are painted. The paint used in this stage is Turkish polyurethane paint which is one of the best paints in the world market for painting the panel of security doors.

 

Locks

Iranian Agnis security door has three kinds of locks: main lock, night latch and door chain.

Main lock:

For the main or central lock of the Agnis security door, we use Turkish Kale Monoblock Mortise locks. However, at the customer’s request, it is also possible to install a claw type Lock, Double-Bit Key Mortise Lock, Desi Alarmed Lock or Smart Lock.

Night latch:

The night latch is similar to the main lock with a difference: it is locked from inside the house without using a key and with a single bolt. This lock is used to secure the door before sleep or to double lock the house when leaving.

Security chain lock:

Chain lock is a steel ring that is used when you intend to open the door of the house just enough to receive a delivery or to see a stranger behind the door.

 

Doorknob/handle:

Knobs/handles are installed on both sides of the Iranian security door and have a high variety in terms of material and appearance. The security doorknob/handle is selected according to door material and style.

Rosette:

The rosette of the security door is placed over the lock and increases the safety of the lock and protects against breaking or drilling. Agnis security doors use standard rosettes and anti-cut steel rosettes.

Door viewer:

Viewer is one of the accessories that is installed on the security door according to the customer’s request.

 

Knocker:

Knocker is one of the accessories that is installed on the Iranian security door at the request of the buyer.

Iranian security door dimensions

Iranian security doors are produced in standard dimensions of 105×210 and 110×210. However, Agnis group has the capacity to produce security doors in any dimensions (custom dimensions). The width of Iranian security doors can be 97 to 130 cm and the height can be 180 to 300 cm.
If the width of the customized door is between 130 and 150 cm, the security door is made as one and a half panels. The height of this type of door can be between 190 and 300 cm.
